Welcome to the 2009-2010 school year at The Laureate School.
Our school class visitation and Parent orientation was well attended and fun for all. The Cal Poly Dragon Dancers performed and the parents and children met with the teachers.

My name is Connie Lopez . Iam very excited to be Head Teacher for room C. I have eight years experience teaching the Montessori method and working with preschool aged children.
Aimee Fowler and Corrie Downs are assistant teachers and we have a cohesive team to facilitate your child's early learning.
Corrie Downs is getting married and we wish her all the very best in her new life, and congratulations!

Please feel free to speak with me, at a scheduled time, about any concerns you may have. I look forward to having an open line of communication with all the parents.

Please follow these guidelines for ease of transition into class time;
BE ON TIME: For dropping off and picking up, it is important for your child's sense of safety to have consistency.

CUBBIES: Each child will be given a space for his lunch and jacket. Please leave backpacks at home so that we may keep his area neat and tidy.

DRESSING: It is helpful for you and your child to pick clothes for school that can get dirty, and he can easily manage.

CHANGE OF CLOTHES: Please send a complete set.
PHOTOS: Please send 2 photos of your child that will be used for their name card and cubbie.

SHARING: Our sharing days will be on Thursday and Friday. Your child is welcome to bring something educational, like favorite books, an instrument, for example.

FOOD: Your child will be provided with healthy snacks to prepare during work time.

BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT IS ON WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 9 FROM 5:00-7:00 PM.
There will be more information regarding your child's class,as well as, sign up sheet for room parent(s),bringing a healthy snacks, activities, etc.
