Welcome to Middle School, Grades 6,7 & 8

Welcome to Language Arts and History for theMiddle School!  This is a year ofgrowth, maturity, and reaching personal goals for students.  They will experience greaterindependence and practice the organization and time management skills that willmake them a success during these years and beyond at the high schoollevel.   

This year we will be reading some wonderfulAmerican authors, focusing on creating dynamic writing portfolios, andmastering the conventions of language.  

We will also be studying World History as well asAncient History and creating some great projects designed to make history comealive.  In addition we will beincorporation technology into our classroom and our studies by creatingPodcasts, PowerPoint presentations, and a classroom website showcasing all thethings we are learning about. 

I hope to provide each student with the motivationneeded to do their best, and the support needed to make that possible.
