Meet the Head of School![]() Following my passion, I began teaching at a time when new ideas challenged those embodied within traditional public schools. Wanting to provide high-level, motivating education for children, I entered the profession with a strong interest in the educational philosophy that spurred today's expansive field of educational research. Within this climate education is more exciting than ever. I have worked within private and independent schools most of my 25 years in education - as teacher, curriculum and program developer, then administrator. Having been drawn to private education in the first place to "make a difference," I feel all the stronger it is here that the finest learning can take place. Free from outside mandates, private schools can selectively apply best educational practices in creating and maintaining programs of high academic caliber that excite and engage students - more important than ever as schools take up the challenge of equipping students with key competencies for an increasingly global future. The Laureate School, with its comprehensive program of 25 years firmly established and infusion of 21st century learning practices now as part of Eucasia Schools Worldwide, has the combined components necessary to prepare students for citizenship, stewardship, and leadership within an expanded world view. The forward-looking mission of The Laureate brought me to this very special school, and it is an honor and great pleasure to be working with our outstanding staff and school community in “preparing students for success in a global 21st century.” Roz Reymers Also in this section...
